Before we opened our doors to guests at Weddings in Woodinville, we had a little fun with a simple styled shoot. What started as an out-of-this-world idea, ended up being a complete rebellion against traditional wedding design and experience. Here are a few of my favorite things about this project…
(1) We put our model in a black wedding dress. Why? Because outer space, that’s why!
(2) Our venue is known for its gorgeous historic windows and natural light….so in rebellion, we covered them with pipe and drape to block out all of the light. This drape doubled as a decorative backdrop for the ceremony & dining table, which really tied the whole story together.
(3) Metallic dinosaur place card holders…. because I love dinos AND space. The astronaut cake topper… my dog on the stationary… a Toy Story reference at the bar… Because I love a good opportunity to incorporate inside jokes and personal touches. It’s in the little things!
(4) Non-traditional glassware. You won’t see any water glasses on our table. Cosmos, anyone? (I’m not ashamed of that pun.)
